The Endless Summer

I'm in a deep mommy fog over here! Summer has been long. And while it's been great spending so much time with the girls it's becoming clear it's time to go back to school. For them and for me!

We still have about 2 weeks before school starts but planning for all the fall events I have coming up continues.

Today i've been working on getting all my lessons in place for my upcoming online classes. First up is another round of my most popular Sizzix 101 Die-cutting  Basics. Enrollment is open and all the info is HERE

A Little Bit of This and That

It's a pretty awesome day when I can announce that my latest die designs with Sizzix have been released.

In love with the banners, flowers, house card, frame card, and the beautiful designs that include embossing folders and matching Framelits. Thanks to my friend Jen who helped me round out some of the art. The collection is adorable and playful and perfect for all kinds of creating. All the dies are available in stores now on Sizzix.com in September.

Today i'm sharing a few of the cards I created using this collection. The house card features a pop up chimney, windows and a door. Love the seperate roof pieces that can be cut like this one below or in all different colors like this one I made for the product launch.

At first glance these flowers look like ordinary layered circles. But, they are carefully designed to look like they are handcut with ever so slight uneveness. Bonus... my favorite shape leaf come with this die! Check out this scrapbook page... Flowers are for boys too!

One of the dies I most wanted to create for this collection was the perfect size banner pieces. This steel rule Bigz die can cut nearly any material so cutting felt and fabric would be super easy! Reminds me I really must create a banner with some fabric. You can see on the card below that the banner piece is still well sized to fit on an a2 card. Also on this card notice the phrase "laugh" this is a piece that I embossed and then cut out using the matching Framelit die. All the phrases are slightly curved to add a playful quality to the design... at least that was my thoguht behind it :) Check out the Playtime banner I also did for the product launch.

Card Love

I've been seriously slacking on blogging lately. We just got back from vacation and that always means time to catch up on everything but blogging. You know, you've been there... I won't bore you with the details. But I will share with you a little preview of what's coming up.

New August kits are already in the shop. My girls and I just finished up the kits today so this weekend i'll be showing off my newest cards and shipping off to subscribers. I can't wait to share the Old School Green Chalkboards with you!
