Earlier this week I was blogging over on the Authentique blog. Thought it was high time I get off pinterest and blog this adorable Mothers Day gift idea here on my own blog.
Seriously.... Isn't Pinterest the best thing ever and the biggest time sucker ever all at the same time! Man, I thought I wasted hours on facebook... that's nothing compared to the time I spend on Pinterest!
I digress... here's my project. Begin by painting the edges of an old book. Remember to paint the insides but don't worry about the whole cover... that will be covered by paper.
Using some Mod Podge attach some pattered paper to the front and back covers of the book. You can sand down the edges to finish it off nicely. Slice an opening in the spine and thread through some seam binding and tie in a bow. Add a button and twine. And a cardstock mat for your photo.
Embellish the rest of your book with some sentiments and rolled roses. Don't forget a special picture.
