A few weeks ago I wrote about your Brain on Crafts and it got me thinking about how else crafting affects our minds and bodies.
For the last few weeks i've been focusing on how it "feels" to give handmade. Here are some of my top thoughts...
Giving handmade goods, in my case cards, are more than just a product. I create each card with love and creativity and they are each unique pieces of art. I'm always guaranteed that no one else will give the same gift.
Sharing a gift. When I give something I handmade I know that I am giving and sharing the talents I have been blessed with. And the same when I chose a gift made by another artisan, I am sharing the gift and talents that they were blessed with. Handmade gifts are just more special. They feel better to give and to recieve.
Giving handmade is a loving act. When you give handmade to a friend or loved one, you are really saying "I care about"! A handmade gift says, I think more of you than to buy you a gift from the local chain store.
But I think the biggest reason I love to give handmade is because of the karma and energy that surrounds the essence of the item. I know it was created with love and I know that I am supporting someones dream! A DREAM!!! It warms my heart to its core and I know that when I support someones dream, someone will support mine.
