Can someone throw me a raft because I am sinking.
I am drowning in work, up to my eyeballs with crafting and deadlines. Facing the not so fun parts of the creative business. Like having to be creative when you are not "feeling it". Like you just want to go play at the pool or beach or river or anywhere there is water because we have exactly 13 days of summer left to play.
I will miss the summer wardrobe of bikinis around here. I will miss the girls when they go back to school all day. Want to know the craziest thing that has happened this summer. Ready... My girls have become FRIENDS!.... gasp I said it and I hope I didn't jinx it but its true. They have been giggling and playing together and hanging out and being kind to each other. Heck I even caught them snuggling on the couch and Niguel was stroking Kylahs hair. I don't know what planets are alligned right now but I hope they stay that way from now till the end of time.
I really don't want summer to end...

Recently my mom gifted me with these little note cards that my step dads Aunt had received in the mail from I imagine a good friend. (Did you get that family line). Anyways I can imagine that this must have been a good friend because this looks like a very tedious art form.
After I showed off the cards I learned that they were done with a technique called tatting. A series of loops and knots done with a needle. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way they look but honestly I see myself doing this right after I take up quilling or poke my eyeballs out. Are you getting the idea that I'm not that patient of a crafter. :)

Today I am taking one more step towards my dreams... These steps are taking a long long time, but I want to get them just right.
The best part about dreams is when they become reality. I'm so hoping to share these as a reality really really soon. Do you have a dream thats about to come true?

Glad its friday and my hubby will be home for the weekend so we can just all hang out and do the family thing. The dog is on the mend, kind of getting along a bit better.
In crafty news... right before vacationI got some water color crayons and I am LOVING them.

A one dollar stand from Target, some old chipboard letters, a handed down embellished die from a friend, some ribbon and a few minutes of time is all it takes to make this little sign.

This... this is what I feel like today. Well, I wish felt like I had arms like that but, the pulling the hair thing totally me.
I really promise to have a creative post soon but, right now its a crazy life.
The dog... is in a cast, he pees on the carpet, is bumping in to everything with his "cone head" all night long, he constantly pants and he just can't settle. Which means I can't settle.
The hubby... is in a cast. Yesterday he had an accident at work and punched a hole through the side of his pinky finger into his ring finger. Didn't hit bone. Thankfully he isn't doing the other things the dog is doing.
So my guys are torn up...
So this morning after sleeping on the couch for the better part of the night to watch the dog i'm feeling kind of torn up.
I'll be working at the Sizzix offices this afternoon. Love being in the art room there, really becoming my place to relax and get away from life. Especially playing with all the new dies that came in that will be top secret under cover till Winter next year.
OK... so I hope you have a great day, i'm off to make the best of this one and hopefully finish yesterdays post.

I'll be able to post later this afternoon. Our dog had surgery yesterday and he came home this morning. A dog in a cast is much harder than a baby in diapers, I can assure you of that.
