Still plugging away at being healthier. This week we planted some vegetables and herbs in some pots in our backyard. Can't get more local than that.
Still trying to buy as few things as possible that come in a box. Eating at home is going well... Eating out, not so much. So we are limiting how much we eat out. But last weekend it was all out the window. I've been off the "wagon" alot of times. I've eaten the wagon and all the wagon contents many many times. Most of those times I don't get back on the "wagon". First thing Monday morning I was back on board!
We all fall off the wagon and you know, sometimes we need a little wagon to keep us going. ;-) At the start of this year I've made a conscious effort to make dinner at home because I realized how often we were eating out (way too often) and how much money we were spending (way too much!).
I've found that if I do some planning it helps us stay on the right track. On Sunday I usually look at our calendar to see what the week has in store for us. I ask everyone what is a dish they'd like for dinner that week and I start planning out what we'll have on which night and I make a shopping list. I usually go shopping Sunday afternoon if we're around or on Monday morning after the kids are at school. This little bit of planning has made a huge difference in the healthy meals we eat and how often we eat at home vs going out. Another trick that I've started is washing/cutting all the fruit when I get home. If the fruit is prepared for the grabbing we're more likely to eat it.
Just remember...there's always another wagon to get back onto. :-) Happy Thursday!

wagons aren't so bad ya know... a little salt, a little mayo... still a little chewy, but not that bad. and as long as you're drinking diet soda...!! wink!!

Love the veggie/herb pic's. Don't worry, everyone falls off the "healthy" wagon, but your tenacity to get right back on is what counts! Keep up the healthy goodness, every little step makes a difference. Have a health filled weekend!

I am with you on falling off the wagon a lot. I think I wanted the weight loss to happen yesterday so I say, "what the heck" and I have that big latte.
