Update on last weeks goals... Got a canister, not a set... just one. It holds my new whole wheat flower. I want more of them but they are out of stock. I wanted them to be all one size. And i'm not really sure how many i'll need. Still figuring out what needs to be real handy.
We had a wonderful time at the farmers market we went to last weekend. It really helped get the whole family on board and was a fun activity for us to do together. We got lots and lots of strawberries which are delicious and we finished them up last night. One of the vendors at the market gave me this raw garlic which I LOVE you can eat the long offshoots as well as the bulbs, they make a tasty addition to my salads. I was a little taken back when the man asked me if i had a date that night? But now I realize that he meant that I should not plan on kissing anyone for at least four days after you eat this stuff. Asparagus... yummy, had that for dinner last night with pork loin. Family gave this veggie mixed reviews, but we'll keep trying.
On a less successful note I did not get out walking once last week. No use beating anyone up about this, myself included. I'll just try again.
This weeks goals:
#1 Walking
#2 Hit a new farmers market this weekend
#3 No fast food
If we could merge our efforts together - we are doing GREAT!! I've walked for 30 minutes for the past 11 days straight - but my food choices are still horrible! Having a treadmill in the garage has been a huge bonus for me. I always get home after dark (most of the time) and I dislike gyms. So walking out to the garage has been a huge success. Keep up the food work!! Next week, I will battle the food. :?

Baby steps are the best. Just remember it's really about long-term change, and it takes awhile to develop a routine. Once you hit a groove, it'll be easier to fit a daily walk in, during a certain time of day, etc, etc... Love the farmer's market outing with the family, that's cool because then everyone gets to choose things they want to try instead of you guessing on your own without their input. Have a healthy week!!!

Good luck Deena, sounds like you have got off to a really great start! I think doing a little at a time is a great idea anyway; too much at once can get overwhelming. I have also decided to get healthier; 2 days on the treadmill so far, so quite pleased with myself (the last time I exercised properly was before my twins were born 11 years ago, how bad is that?!).
