It usually not cold enough around here to wear scarfs and even when it is I don't much like the bulky feeling around my neck. These past few weeks have been particularly cold and damp and I found something I LOVE! A jersey knit scarf! You know like a tee shirt. They feel like a warm hug around your neck all day long.
My first one was a black and white stripped one. I wanted to wear it every day so I got another and another. Then I got this ivory colored one but it seemed a little plain. I found an old brown cashmere sweater that we had in the Sizzix art room and cut out a few flowers from my favorite flower die lately (Flower Layers #5 Bigz). Then I sewed them on with some small shell buttons. It took about 10 minutes and was so so easy.
I've found a few online scarfs to try out making from old tee shirts. Hope i'll have time to do some of those soon.
Today pull out something you think is a little plain and give it a little extra love. You'll be glad you did!
Too cute!! You are so creative!
