Just put up the brand new December kits, Click Here to check it out.
I love my scallop circles. Best and most used punches and dies I own. I had a brain surge and thought of this fun thing to do with the shapes. A Christmas tree with a tree skirt... This sucker is soooooo cute in person.
Heres a quick how to on how you can make yours. What you need is 4 nesting sizes of scallop circles. Don't have dies or punches? How about cutting circles and then edging them with scallop decorative scissors.
Start with your scallop circles... then fold them in quarters... glue the two points opposite the fold together... pop up the top layer and glue them together by size... roll a piece of cardstock to make a trunk and glue under the bottom layer... glue two twigs to the bottom for the stand... Cut scallop circle from felt and cut a hole out of the middle, cut a slit to make a tree skirt... put tree skirt over the stand and there you have it. Now decorate your tree any way you like.
For those of you that asked about the recipe for the pecan bars... here it is. Just please put away your calorie counters before you even look at the two pounds of butter it calls for. And unless you are preparing these to feed huge group I would at least 1/2 the recipe if not by 1/3. Otherwise you'll end up with enough pecan bars for the rest of your life like I have. Enjoy! Click Here for the recipe. Oh, one last thing... it shows the bars dipped in chocolate but doesn't call for it in the recipe. We dipped our and it was delicious.
Coming up tomorrow is another card give away... Haven't done one in a while.
