Another One Bites the Dust
If you have or have had an 11 year old girl you will sympathize with this post. I only have one "nice" picture of Niguel and it is posed. Every other picture that was taken she and or her friends have their tongues out, flashing the peace sign with their hair covering their eyes, being down right weird and dorky. And lets not even talk about how often girls of this day must not wear dresses. Seriously I made a mental note to make Niguel wear more dresses and teach her to keep her legs closed! Honestly!!!!! I had half a mind to post the pictures but sadly I was to embarrassed and have decided to edit them into her wedding video someday. Here's the icing on the cake... when I asked her at dinner if she would play again next year she told me "i'm going to do whatever my friends do". Picture me... face in palms looking through my fingers at hubby who is shaking his head and asking "so if your friends jump off a bridge you will too"? And I think... it's happened we've turned into our parents. Good lord help me because I get to do 11 again next year with the darling Kylah and i'm fairly confident that 12, 13, 14, or 15 will not be any easier! I swear if she wasn't an honor student i'd probably curl up in a closet somewhere and dream about a time before she was possessed by aliens puberty.
But in my little perfect corner of the craft room where all is peaceful and just the way I like it samples of Everything Sweet projects are coming along. So happy with how they are turning out. Definitely pictures of those tomorrow.
I'm right there with you, lol.
Thank goodness they are all good girls.
But I am feeling your pain with the mood swings =(

Well, I don't have kids of my own, but I have a teenage niece just turned 16- and let's just say that you're gonna look back on 11 as a piece of cake!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy this time- and ya know what, both you and me had great mom's so if you are turning into yours then count yourself blessed! Have a great day!

Oh, I feel for you Deena. I'm not quite there yet, but soon. My daughter still loves to wear skirts and dresses everyday. We're working on the 'keep your legs closed/crossed' thing. I'm dreading the 'tween and teenage years. I just hope that my little one continues to love school and do well academically.
Good luck!
