Lets Catch Up

Its been a while but things have been a little crazy...sadly my Dad passed away last week. Unfortunately we had a very strained relationship, and it has been hard to sort out my feelings about the whole thing since his presence really isn't missed, he had been absent for so much of my life. What I am getting used to is the idea that now I know for certain that it will never be different for us. I hope that he finds some peace that he was not able to here on earth. I mentioned in my last post that I have been kitting class kits like crazy... here is a little peek at what my home is like during what we call kitting season (which comes about once a month). This month was especially crazy since I did 31 kits  for a card class and 12 other kits for misc projects! Here are the 5 cards we did in class. It was a great group that keeps on growing! 

I also was privileged enough to join Niguels class on a rocks and soils field trip. She just loves school and it is so much fun to watch her participate in every activity that they do!

And lastly I became a grandma this weekend! Well not really for goodness sake. About a month ago while trimming some shrubs we spotted some cocoons. After babysitting the bug catcher and checking it daily Kylah became the proud mama of two praying mantis'! She was absolutely adorable mothering those two little guys all afternoon!

Kits Galore

Just wanted to stop in and say "Hi" I have kits going like crazy for a card class that just exploded this month. Promise to post pictures of all the madness in the next day or so!

Happy Belated Mothers Day

Yesterday I thought alot about what I love about being a mom and here are some of them that come to mind right now. Rocks in my washer, it means someone is still little and finds wonder in the ordinary. Notes on my walls, it means someone has grown so much and learned to write. Little voices next to my bed at night, means someone still needs me. Little giggles and hysterical laughing, means someone is carefree and happy at home. A stuffed animal seatbelted in my backseat, means someone loves animals like me. Dull watercolor pencils, means someone loves to be creative. Loads of dirty laundry, means someone likes to dig in and get dirty. Babysitting the bug catcher, means someone loves nature. Tick tick tick on the computer keyboard, I have a journal writer just like me. There, that is just a few of the glorious things about being a mommy for me. My big goal right now, try to relish in all these little things and remember that all to soon these times will pass.

Here is a necklace that I made and sent out anonymously. It is for someone who needs to have alot of "hope" in her life right now. I tried about 15 times to photograph this necklace and nomatter what the picture would not take in focus. It kind of freaked me out. Anyway it was beautiful.

I met a new friend named Cindee who does amazing work at a step down program for teens that have attempted sucide. She asked me if I would be interested in making up some projects for the kids to do while they were there during thier recovery. Heck yes! Here is the first card kit.

Where in the World are the Zieglers

Ky Got a new bike. Who would have thought we'd go thru 3 bikes already! Shes really alot happier than she looks here! Happy Early Bday Girl!

I'm also starting a new challenge for myself. We've been so lucky to travel so many amazing places in the past few years and I haven't done any scrapping to prove it. It has been all I can do to keep up with the girls Milestones. So I will be running the "Where in the world are the Zieglers" Challenge. It won't be too hard to figure out where we are because I love to journal. But if I inspire you to make a travel page, send me a picture to post and i'll send you a goodie. Here is the first in my Series!!!! The Zieglers are in Central Park!

I'll leave you with a copy of my Christmas card insert from last year (2006). Now you'll know where you can expect to see some pages from! And this is just last year. I have Mexico 2x's and Hawaii and others.Don't forget to sing it in Johnny Cash style.

A tough day

Today was a hard day for me. I finally visited my Dad. We haven't spoke for two years. Not a choice that I made, not a result of anything that I did. Just because he isnt able to, and thats a really long story. He is very ill. I am OK with everything, I have no guilt over any choice I have made. What kills me is the pain that my brother is feeling. He is carrying such a burden. Today I went to visit and help him carry that burden a little. It was hard to see my Dad in such a state, but I know that if it is Gods will then there is nothing we can do. I will pray that he is comfortable. And I will make sure that my brother doesn't follow in his footstep. When I arrived home today I found this in my email box. A writing from my cousin Eric. To my knowledge he has no idea what is happening since he is in the Ukraine, it came at just the right time.

God reveals Himself in countless ways and it is always significant when we are able to see Him manifested in the events and circumstances of our lives. These daily revelations give us cause for praise in the present. They also serve as markers for remembrance and as assurances that He will act in the future. His daily revelations are never in contradiction with His Word thus, these two forms of revelation combine to affirm God's unity, to testify to His greatness and, ultimately, to advance His kingdom. Of course, in our weakness, we can't always see what God intends for us to see. That is why it is so important to remember and to hope. But when He gives us eyes to see, and our hearts are open to receive His self-expression, in whatever form, we are filled with awe at His glory, overwhelmed by His love and enamored by His beauty. All of this is possible because of the sanctifying presence of the Holy Spirit, Who is there because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, Who was sent by the will and love of the Father. This picture, revealed in God's Word and confirmed by our experience, can help us — should compel us, rather — to have certainty at all times that God is at work. We can rest and rejoice in the fact that He is completing that picture in and through every event and circumstance, and we can be on the lookout for how He is making Himself known. We are praying that you will have eyes to see and hearts open to receive His revelations at this time.

I will be "remembering" on all the good memories we had. And I will "hope" that if it is God's will we will have more good memories sometime in the future. Thanks Eric and Josie for those thoughts!

Happy National...

Scrapbook Day!!!!  We have a busy weekend ahead of us but I have some portable projects along for the ride. So I hopefully will have lots to share with you tomorrow evening!
