Meeting Lisa Bearnson was nothing short of amazing. She is so kind, funny, inspiring, delightful and most of all REAL. She shared some wonderful personal stories that made us feel like she was just one of the gals that was at TT cropping every weekend. She shared with us about meeting Oprah, and Elizabeth Smart, and all the familes that were affected by the recent shooting in the Amish country. Sorry I forgot... I do have a few blog visitors that are not scrappers... this is for you. Lisa B. is an icon in the scrapbooking world. She started the first magazine 10 years ago and has since grown Creating Keepsakes into an enormous scrapbooking empire. Friday was all fun... laughing, creating and spending time with Lisa and friends. On Saturday we had an opprotunity just to sit and talk in between visits for the meet and greet. Steph and I must have talked to her for a good couple of hours. She looked over our 21 day journals and even asked to take them with her back home to show some of her staff at the mag. That little bit of dirt didn't get dished over on Stephs blog... cuz... shes so humble. As for me, I was happy when she just asked to see mine. I'm going to shout it to the world for me and Steph... (hope thats OK with Steph) Lisa B took our art journals in her very own hands on a plane, maybe to her house, and to Creating Keepsakes back home in Utah. It is simple unbelievable! I am greatful for the opprotunity to meet her. Not because of who she is at all. All because of the way she made me feel when we sat together and talked about life, our journaling, and why we scrapbook our lives. I will remember that Saturday morning always! Thanks Lisa!!!

So here is my big news.... ready..... drum roll... I got a new job! I was offered a position at Ellison as a designer. Ellison is a local company here that makes die cuts. In my opinion its a pretty sweet offer!!! I will be getting paid to craft.... WHAT???? I still can't believe it. I will be creating projects for trade shows, ads, catalogs, TV apperances (not me the products) and a bunch of other stuff. The immediate focus will be CHA winter in January. I can't tell you what it is but I can tell you it was and is a HUGE undertaking! The booth will be nothing short of amazing. I will start next Monday and get my workspace all set up. I just drooled all over the place when I saw this amazing work/art room where I will get to pour out all of my creativity. I am super excited about learning a different side of the indusrty and hope I can contribute some of my ideas I have of what i'd like to see on the market. I will also be working with some super awesome people who are just down right FUN to be around! So its all good... you want to know how good it is... Randy even got excited. Now if you know my hubby you know it must be one amazing opportunity because for him to get excited about crafting I would have to do nothing less than craft him a 1941 Willies that could do a ten second 1/4 mile. I know I lost you!!!! Anyway say some prayers for me. I'll need them, I haven't worked 20 hours a week before since having kids and we'll see just how good I can juggle.
With all this good news comes some sad... I have had to say goodbye to some of my positions at Timeless Treasures. Next month will be my 4th anniversary there and I have grown into so many responsibilities. I will keep teaching my classes and crops because I truly do LOVE teaching. But you won't be seeing me around the store as much during the day. I'll miss those times, they've been good to me! Lots of fun memories and lots of good friends made.
So I'm off to make some new friends and memories!

Heres whats up at the Ziegler house this weekend...
Had a big ol' 40th birthday bash for the hubby saturday night. Lots of good friends, good tacos and lots of laughs. 
The girls went to Grandma and Grandpas for a sleepover and today they played activities director at work with my mom at the seniors home. They called bingo, went for a scenic drive, brushed the dog that lives there, ate chicken noodle soup in the dining room and chatted with alot of seniors, who by the way LOVE when the girls come to visit.
We are officially in Christmas mode here. This little tree is the extent of our holiday decorations for 2006. I drug out about 10 ornaments from the attic and the tree skirt and called it good. 
Usually we would have the whole house decked out, but this will do for this year! After all we are on official count down... 28 days till VACATION!!!

I know its been forever since i've blogged... I have been crazy busy. Mainly keeping these two little ones here in line. They are growing and changing daily and it is a full time job keeping up with them. Let see what else... Made 5 more christmas cards for class making my total to date 20 designs. And I am seriously considering not sending ones of my own. Made a poodle skirt, made a thousand things for a christmas botique, worked at TT hanging a bunch of sample boards, planned a bday party for my hubby (40 tomorrow), gave the dog a haircut, worked on some top secret projects, cleaned and messed up my work area at least 10 different times, visited with family and my new little cousin who is heading back to the Ukrain in a couple of weeks, put up my christmas tree (I know, I know), finished up my 8th week of personal training without passing out, ran a mile without stopping or dying, judged an art contest and received our passports. Thats just the stuff I can remember without all the daily happenings of driving in my little circle, or now oval since I train in Foothill Ranch, laundry, homework, cleaning, working, volunteering, cooking, shopping and all the other motherly duties. I have to say I am so excited that it is only 4 weeks till my vacation and I plan on spending 14 days, count em' 14 days, laying in the sun by the ocean!!! Off to finish up cleaning out my work area AGAIN!
