Destiny

It's about time for a new post...

Each day that I meet my trainer, during our meditation at the end (my favorite part) he burst out in this very stong and commanding voice a quote of some sort.

Yesterdays quote was "We often find our destiny on the road we take to avoid it"

I thought about that all day... and here is what I thought... 19 years ago this month I took a weekend trip to the river with my Dad to avoid going out that weekend with my then current boyfriend. I wanted to take that weekend to decide if I wanted to break up with him. That weekend at the River I met my future husband, Randy.

Randy and I have had our ups and downs and after dating for 9 years and living together for some of it we were avoiding getting married and avoiding getting pregnant. Thats where Niguel comes into the picture.

God sure has a way of stopping us right in our tracks when we have reached a point of destiny in our lives. For me he brought me to a place where I had been a thousand times before, but brought me there on the exact day that Randy was there, it was subtle. In the case of my actual marriage he threw up a huge roadblock (Niguel) and it was a clear as anything that it was time to commit.

Before yesterday I was still waiting to reach my destiny. But now I realize that we must have several destinys during our time here on earth. Today I didn't even have time to breathe but tomorrow i'm going to open my eyes wider and look for my next destiny.

Todays quote was "Be the change you want to see in the world" Ghandi Amen to that!

Meet the newest member of my family

Here is a special note from my cousin Eric...

Dear loved ones,
On Tuesday, September 12, at 8:22 PM pacific time, we met our little son,
Dietrich Mark Oldenburg, as he entered our world in the love, grace and peace
given by God, our Father. He weighs 6 pounds, 7 ounces, is 19.5 inches long,
has a little bit of blondish/reddish hair, loves to sleep and is learning how
to eat. Josie is doing well in spite of some pain and soreness and we are both
tired. But we are basking in the joy of parenthood, celebrating with friends
and family and thanking God for the safe and healthy delivery of little
Dietrich. Please pray for Josie's recovery and Dietrich's development and
praise God with us for our wonderful son.

Good Day

Yes it was a good day, busy but good. Niguel was better and back to school, busy day at the store got lots done, Ky just celebrated her second week not sucking her thumb (yes I know, shes 7, tell me about it, I thought she'd be walking down the aisle sucking her thumb), I had a FULL class of 24 tonight for Christmas cards, Thanks to all my awesome customers!!!!, I saw my hubby play softball for the first time (and he was pretty good), and we have a new memeber of our family, my cousin Eric and his wife Josie had a baby boy tonight. Welcome to Dietrich Mark (sp?) 6 pounds 9 oz( so I heard) at 8:40pm (approx) More details on that as they come. But it was good, and I am tired and still sore! Here is a delayed picture of the first day of school last week. Have a great one!

blog slacker

Yes I have been a total blog slacker. I have been barely keeping up on everything else in life... Girls are back to school. Well except that Niguel was home sick today already! Yikes. I have promised myself that I WILL NOT let my in basket overfloweth ever again. I have adopted the touch it one process. I take care of it right away if possible. Lets just say that I am in just a little bit of pain tonight. Today was my first day of fitness bootcamp. Feels like there is a knife stuck in my right thigh. I can walk 5 miles in one hour 20 mins and not lose my breath. But today, that was another story. My chest was burning and afterwards it fet like I had smoked a pack or two. And lets not forget that god did not exactly design me to be a runner. I will be shopping for an iron clad running bra in the next few days! I have 12 weeks till my caribbean/florida trip and I have several new bathing suits that I have no business wearing right now. 30 pounds gone! So heres to the next 30 pounds goin' bye bye. Just so you know I signed up for Jenny Craig again. I just love that it all comes to my door and all I have to do is cook up some veggies and micro that entree. Believe it or not they are really good. ALOT better than my cooking!
