June 2013 - Creative Cards

Wow, thanks for the love pouring in over these cards. I had a ton of fun creating them... I just adore chalkboard art! Enjoy your cards and let me know if you have any questions!

Your Pop 'n Cut cards are pre-folded for you. They can be a little tricky for first timers or if I can't show you in person. But, I'll note this here... if you purchase any Pop 'n Cut dies for yourself there are instructions included. Plus Karen B. Always has amazing videos on her blog. Once you do a couple you'll get the hang of it for all of them :)

You can view a simple chalk technique here before you get started.

Card 1 - Attach the patterned paper to the top of the Pop 'n cut card. Attach the folded patterned paper piece to the back of the card to cover the opening (be sure to only put adhesive on the sides of the pieces, you don't want adhesive in the opening!). Attach the Circle Label sentiment with a pop dot. Wrap the red seam binding around the card and tie it in a bow. Trim around the scallops of the patterned paper strip and attach to the bottom of the card, trim edges. Attach ribbon and trim edges. Put brads through tags and fold out prongs, attach with glue so that the brads don't show through the card. Add pen detail if desired. This card has a white envelope, I included an A6 envelope, its a little over sized but I thought it worked better than being to tight in the A2.June card 1

Card 2 - Attach the patterned paper to the top of the Pop 'n cut card. Attach the folded patterned paper piece to the back of the card to cover the opening (be sure to only put adhesive on the sides of the pieces, you don't want adhesive in the opening!). Wrap ribbon around card top and tie in a knot. Attach hello phrase to card base. Attach patterned paper square and scallop square. Trim sentiment and attach. This card has a white envelope, I included an A6 envelope, its a little over sized but I thought it worked better than being to tight in the A2.June card 2

Back of pop up card - Here is a close up example of how the back should be attached. It also adds a great decorative element to the card.
