Creative Cards - September

September cards- Fall is almost here and I don't know about you but, I am so ready for some cooler weather. It has been one hot summer here! I'm also ready to get busy for all the fall and holiday months coming up... Hope you enjoy this months cards and here are a few tips and tricks to putting your cards together.

Card #1 - Fold the brown cardstock to form a 5x7 card. You have a white insert for this card. Attach the embossed paper and the small strip of striped paper. Trim sentiment and birie tree art and attach to card. Attach three buttons and a twine bow (make sure you tie your bow near the end of the twine as you'll need some for another card). Attach twine bow. This card has a glassine bag for an envelope. You can see how I used these bags for another card and you can even mail them. See how HERE just read through the post.

Card #2- Fold the cardstock to form the 3x3 card. The embossed part is the front. Attach the cupcake pieces as shown. I used a pop dot on the top part of the cupcake. Attach pearl to cupcake top. Trim the happy birthday square from the sentiments page and attach inside the card. This card has a clear envelope.

Card #3 - Fold cardstock to form card base. This card has a white insert. Attach patterned paper as shown. Attach cupcake pieces (ink edges of cupcake wrapper if desired). I used a pop dot on the top part of the cupcake. Attach cherry and stem. Tie turquoise ribbon in a bow and attach to card. Trim sentiment and attach. This card has a white envelope.

Card #4 - Attach patterned paper to card front. This card has a white insert on the sentiments page . Trim the "thanks" sentiment and attach to card front. Attach and layer all the owl parts as shown. Outline with a black marker to add detail if desired. Isn't he the cutest owl ever!

Card #5 - Fold cardstock to form card base. Attach patterned paper. Wrap ribbon around the card and tiw in a bow. Thread button with a small piece of the green and white twine and attach. Trim sentiment and attach, outline with pen if desired. Attach stamped flower.

Card #6 - Fold cardstock to form card base. Attach pattened paper. Trim sentiment and attach with pop dots, ink edges if desired. Attach the scallop felt border (you can use either side), trim the edges flush with the card. Lay down a strip of adhesive above the felt border, take one end of the aqua seam binding lay down then fold and pleat laying the ribbon down to stick to the adhesive. Continue on across the card and trim the edge. Layer and attach flowers, peals and twine bow.

Tags: Attach patterned paper and twine hanges. Trim sentiments and attach. Add pen detail if desired. Add a bit of the left over thread to the green button and attach. Makes a great compliment to a gift bag, with one of the matching cards!

Enjoy the cards and let me know if you have any questions. Smiles, Deena
