Creative Cards Homeschool Kit - April

Hope you enjoy all your sweet cards this month. Here's a few tips and tricks to help you complete your cards.

  • Before you begin take your piece of twine, untwist and separate so that it is thinner and you have more pieces. Now you'll have plenty for all the buttons on the happy birthday card and the bow on the strawberry card.

April 1
Add brown ink to edges to distress if desired. Trim down your sentiment and attach to the green mat. There is a white cardstock piece to put in the inside of this card. Trim away the green stem from the die cut and attach over the top of the red strawberry and attach. Wrap ribbon around card and tie in a knot.

April 2 Attach the patterned paper and use the card as a guide to trim away the bottom to the shape of the card. Trim sentiment and attach to green mat. Tie ribbon in a bow and attach. Attach hearts.

April 3 The sentiment is printed on the card, fold so that it is on the outside. Attach patterned paper squares. Trim the top off the red bracket along the crease line and attach to the card. Attach polka dot ribbon and trim off edges. Add floss to button and attach to ribbon bow. Attach to card.

April 4 Layer the scallop shapes and attach. Attach all the buttons and flower. Trim the sentiment and ink to distress if desired.

April 5 Trace the stem shape on to the green cardstock piece provided and trim. Cover the red stem with the green piece you trimmed. Cut two leaves from the polka dot paper provided (you can pencil on a leaf if you need a guide and don't want to freehand cut them). Take covered wire and wrap around a thin stick like a tooth pick or end of a paint brush. Remove the wire from the stick and fold in a v to form the tendrils. Attach leaves, ribbon bow, wire tendril. Attach twine bow and sentiment.

Enjoy! Please email me if you have any questions.
