During the Christmas season I tired out several Pinterest ideas that didn't work out so well, in fact they were total disasters! Here's a peek at my fails.
First up, wood photo transfers. Niguel and I were going to make these for her friends as gifts for christmas. HERE is a link to the original post. *note* hers are beautiful and obviously you can do this because she has proof in pictures!
Here's mine... so embarrased... I suspect, despite trying two different types, that I was using the wrong type of gel medium. We tried two different types of paper, two different printers, black and white and color photos (which looked moldy) and I even tried it on canvas out of desperation. No luck! We gave up, printed the photos, put Xyron adhesive on the back and stuck them to the wood blocks, sanded down the edges and applied a wax to make it all smooth. In the end they turned out cute and my girl and her friends were happy! You can see the final photo blocks HERE
Oh, this one made me kind of crazy and mad all at the same time. You can see the original post to make a heart wreath HERE. This surely should have worked, I mean we used to do crafts like this back in 1st grade! Glue and String... come on, I got this! WRONG!!!
It surely should have worked, I even used the same color balloons! I MAY have been able to salvage this by hot glueing all the pieces together, but, after wrapping gluey string around these balloons for two hours I was OVER IT! To the trash!
In the end this fail did lead me to some pretty cool "original" ideas that did work out. I've included them in my LOVESTRUCK CLASS. And it's not to late to join in :)
Want to share any of your craft fails lately??? Leave me a comment.

Oh those photos are sad looking. I think we've all had Pinterest fails but I love that you shared yours. ;-) I think the photo blocks your daughter ended up making are super cute and want to learn how to do the same.
