Ever wonder how to get text or photos centered and cut into a shape? Today i'd like to share with you how to use your die-cuts for print or photo registration.
Let start with the clear cut dies from Sizzix. These dies have a clear back which makes a window so you can see through them. But you can still use them to just cut shapes. Here's a link to the die I am using Click Here
Put your photo centered in the shape and run it through your machine.
Or center up some text that you've printed ot stamped and run that through your machine.
So what do you do if you don't have any clear crop dies? No worries... here's how to do print registration with a regular die.
First cut the shapes and keep the negative space.
Next trim the paper and keep the shape you want. Line the paper up with the blade. Tape that piece on one side to the die with some scotch tape to hold it in place.
Take your paper with the print on it and slip it under the die cut paper. Center the text in the opening.
Then run it through your machine. Of course you'll have to use the cutting pad so be careful to not move the papers when you are putting on the cutting pad. There you have it... Your text perfectly centered on a die cut shape.
Now make a cute little something...
This cute little rub on was created bymy bestie friend Steph. There's one more kit left from yesterdays sale so scroll down and take a look. Hope you enjoyed todays tutorial.
