Back to Montana

The first place we went in Montana was the Museum of the Rockies. If you have seen the show 1000 places to see before you die. This place is one of them. They have an amazing Dinosaur exhibit. Montana is the known as a gold mine for T Rex and Triceratops remains. It was really awesome! They also had the King Tut exhibit (replicas of course, but ones done VERY well) on tour and that was beautiful. My girls are both really into Egyptian history and they were so excited to see the exhibit. The last thing we enjoyed was the old homestead they had outside of the museum. They had a huge garden and the girls had a blast pumping water from the well for each other.

Thanks Steph for the shout out yesterday. I really loved working with those alcohol inks, if you haven't tried them go for it. Speaking of Steph, her and I are planning another holiday boutique. We are looking over dates, and we'll be getting together to talk over the details soon. So watch our blogs for us to announce the date! Summer has come to an end

And the girls are not this happy about it. Well one girl is not that happy. I'll give you one guess who??? Today is the day of the year that I have the most anxiety. The day we find out our teachers. It drives me crazy that they wait till the night before. But they do. I worry all summer about teacher assignments. I worry that they won't get someone who measures up to the previous year, I worry the teacher won't love them as I do, that they'll be misunderstood,  I worry that what I want for them is different than what they need. On and on it goes. But alas I am pleased again and looking forward to another year. The girls are switching teachers. Kylah is moving on to Niguels teacher from last year and Niguels teacher from 2nd grade and Kylahs teacher from last year is moving up to fourth grade and Niguel will be in her class. I am not ready to have a 3rd and 4th grader I can tell you that. But since I can't stop time (otherwise we would be stuck sometime in either 1987 or 2000) tomorrow morning will come and they will be off to school.

But as for today it was the best of the summer. A beautiful day at the beach. It was so much fun to spend it with Steph and her boys. I really enjoyed watching Niguel play in the surf, and really boogie board for the first time. Kylah is a sand bunny, she built castles, disected sea weed and Ben burried her in the sand. It was beautiful, just beautiful!

Bad odds

Let me start this post by saying... No we are NOT moving. We are staying put at least for the next 10ish years till Randy retires. He's always been afraid of "departing" to soon like his father and grandfather so we planned it out so he could retire early! With lots of luck and hard work it will play out as planned. So here is why I had so much spare time in Montana.

After a 16 hour day in Yellowstone Friday we pulled into west Yellowstone at 10:30pm. It had been light till after 9pm. As we pulled in Niguel threw up all over the 3rd seat of our rental Suburban. Then she said she felt great and convinced me it was because she was so hungry. Against my better judgement we went into the resturant where she ate some vegatable soup and proceeded to throw it up all over the resturant floor, then outside the front door, then all over the bathroom where she also had an "accident" if you know what I mean. Then she threw up all night and most of the next day.

Like I said above that was Niguel Friday and this is Kylah Saturday...

And this was Sunday. As usual Randy was the WORST! Every night at least two more people fell victim to the stomach flu! 9 of the 13 of us. Luckily I was one of the ones who did not get it. In between all of this we saw alot of beautiful sights. I'll be back to show you more of those again tomorrow.
